For customers who wish to fit themselves or have us fit their FLI Atlas focuser, we offer an upgrade which enables the Atlas to be used with maximum stability. Not only does this kit (when used in conjunction with the two CNC stabilising rings) add stability and added robustness to the equipment ‘chain’ used with the Atlas but, significant stability is added to the tube to avoid any measureable flexure at all. The kit comprises of the upper and lower precision Atlas adaptors which allow exact positioning of the Wynne corrector, but, it also includes an inner, blackened stainless steel profiled plate fitted to the inside of the tube coupled with even further added strength by the use of a profiled aluminium block into which the outer sections of the assembly screw directly into.
